We had the pleasure of staying at the Poppy in Georgetown for one night to attend a wedding at a local venue. Our stay began early in the day with the manager John reaching out before noon to welcome us and establish our timing for the day. We ended up showing thirty minutes earlier than we indicated but John let us right in. The good: The bed, very comfortable. The location, right in Georgetown and very walkable. Top notch. The bad: Only thing that was not perfect, is we had to wait for the coffee machine to be cleaned at 430 pm. Actually a good thing they clean it regularly. The interesting: The Garden, our room had an outdoor patio that connected to the main courtyard. In a longer stay we would have loved to enjoy this more. The split sink, makes for an easier time getting ready that the vanity is outside of the water closet. Overall, great experience. Would stay at the Poppy again and recommend to a friend.

I really loved my stay here! I was in DC for work and really appreciated having such a tranquil, peaceful place to return to at the end of the day. My room was so cute and very comfortable, and the gardens are beautiful. I really recommend this place for a cozy, relaxing place to stay in one of the most beautiful parts of D.C.

My fiance and I stayed here in April for our anniversary and we've both agreed that whenever we visit again, this is where we want to stay. The room was super comfortable, the outdoor sitting space was wonderful, and the location was perfect (we were able to walk or take the metro anywhere we want to go without it feeling like a trek). We drove in and the instructions on the website for were we could park were easy to follow. The cherry on top is that Nico and John were so kind and helpful.

The rooms are big and spacious and the bathrooms are clean, big, with a separate soak-in tub (which I really loved). The staff was very welcoming and accommodating, and ensured my stay was comfortable. A wonderful night's stay!
